Fightful Select has shared some backstage notes from tonight’s AEW Revolution 2024 pay-per-view event in Greensboro, North Carolina.
According to the report, Nick Wayne and Matt Hardy are both backstage at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Jeff Hardy isn’t expected backstage as he is healing from a broken nose injury. The Hardys are both from North Carolina as well.
Brittany Jade and Emily Jaye, who recently teamed together on ROH TV are also backstage at AEW Revolution 2024.
Former TNA World Champion Steve Maclin is reportedly expected to be at AEW Revolution 2024 to support his wife, Deonna Purrazzo in her AEW Women’s World Title match against “Timeless” Toni Storm.
Maclin’s current TNA contract expires in about two months following which he will become a free agent.
Additionally, there were plans for a ring to be set up at the talent hotel for rehearsals and run-throughs as of last week. The ring couldn’t be set up earlier at the Greensboro Coliseum as a Donald Trump rally was held yesterday.
AEW Revolution 2024 marks Sting’s final match of his 40-year wrestling career. According to the report, there’s been no word of edicts from other wrestling companies surrounding Sting or restrictions about paying tribute to The Icon this weekend.
