Jack Perry would be wise to know when not to speak if what he has to say will cause problems, according to WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi.
Perry remains absent from AEW programming following his backstage altercation with CM Punk at All In 2023 which stemmed from Perry’s comments about using real glass.
On a recent edition of his “Off the Top” podcast, Rikishi addressed Perry’s situation and said he should have been more respectful given Punk’s veteran status. He said,
“Here’s the disrespect level that I see in that. CM Punk has paved the way, indie circuit, he’s been out there for, what, for 15 [years]? However long it was, man. He’s not the same age as that young cat. So, whatever the drama that that is, when you come back and you’re talking to [a veteran], sometimes you need to bite your tongue and give the older guys the respect level because you can still learn something from CM Punk.”
The backstage altercation would result in CM Punk being fired from AEW. The two-time former AEW World Champion returned to WWE at November’s Survivor Series pay-per-view event.
