Cody Rhodes could be mere weeks away from becoming the next Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, and that isn’t a problem for Tony Khan.

Rhodes parted ways with AEW in February 2022 and returned to WWE the following April at WrestleMania 38.

Speaking on his Arn podcast, Anderson said that Khan holds no ill will at Rhodes for leaving to join the competition.

“Best luck to Cody. I think Tony Khan has no ill will toward Cody or vice versa. It’s just one of those things that happens.”

The reason for Rhodes’ AEW departure has never been fully confirmed, with both sides stating that they agreed to not disclose the matter publicly.

Rhodes will challenge Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns this April at WrestleMania 39.
