There were over 20,000 fans in attendance for Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. The show was a legitimate sellout at Arthur Ashe stadium. The lines to get into the venue stretched for multiple blocks.
According to several sources, management at Arthur Ashe stadium was said to have been thrilled with the results and “can’t wait” to have AEW return in the future. Early on, there had been a lot speculation about renting out the venue to AEW as they’ve never held a pro wrestling event before but management could not be happier with the end result.
Also, Homicide and Prince Nana were backstage visiting at the AEW Dynamite TV tapings.
