According to a report from Sports Illustrated, the reported “heat” between Booker T and Corey Graves is all a work. During his most recent podcast, Booker T said Corey Graves was the man responsible for him being taken off the RAW commentary team. He went on to blast Graves, saying that he was “going to do something to him” if he “caught him on the streets.” Graves then took a shot at Booker T on RAW this week, when he told Jonathan Coachman, “Watch your tongue or you might be doing afternoon radio locally.”
SI reports that Booker T did the podcast specifically to give Graves some “extra heel heat” on his way out of the RAW commentary spot.
For what it’s worth, Booker T is campaigning for the Houston mayoral spot next year and it’s possible he’s now downplaying the incident in case a candidate asks Booker why he threatened harm upon Graves by saying, “If I catch Corey Graves on the street, I’m gonna do something to him” and he can say it was “all a work.”
