WWE did a shocking finish on Friday’s episode of SmackDown when Karrion Kross made his return alongside Scarlett.
Kross attacked Drew McIntyre to close the show, seemingly inserting himself into the feud with McIntyre and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Those two stars are scheduled to wrestle at Clash at the Castle.
Fightful Select reports there was a specific pitch within creative for Kross’ return, which was that Kross would be inserted into the McIntyre vs. Reigns feud, and be involved in a match for one of Reigns’ world titles, as opposed to both.
