As we exclusively reported last Wednesday night here on eWn, WWE will be taking their production to the Amway Center in Orlando, FL and will be debuting a new “ThunderDome” theme. The new concept will kick off this Friday night on SmackDown and will run over the course of the next few months.
According to Fightful, many people who have been working at the venue are optimistic that the presentation will come across well. The set is something completely different than what they are used to doing.
While most of the heavy work has been completed and was originally set to be located somewhere much larger, it had to be set up in the Amway Center because of no fans being in attendance. The lower bowl will feature numerous LED screens with virtual audience members. The flooring that has been laid down also features more than 100 lights. There will also be video boards running over the ring along 16 lines.
