The current plan is for WWE to run the 2017 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view how they previously did when there were split brands. The Royal Rumble match itself will feature Superstars from both the RAW and SmackDown brands, with the winner of the match earning a title shot for their respective brand at WrestleMania 33.
The undercard will feature matches from the RAW and SmackDown brands as well.
