As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, there are some rumors that Vince McMahon will be involved in a “match” with Pat McAfee at WrestleMania 38.
As you’d expect, there is an angle planned for the bout and it will begin with McMahon’s appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” this Thursday. With that being said, McMahon will be advertised for a match against McAfee in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 38, but it will be a “smoke and mirrors event.” Of course, Austin Theory is involved in a storyline with Vince McMahon these days so it’s possible he’s involved in some form. But the plan is to advertise Vince McMahon vs. Pat McAfee going into the event, which will then likely lead to a swerve come the actual pay-per-view.
Vince McMahon is 76 years old and his last WWE match took place nine years ago.
