Bobby Lashley was a recent guest on The Ringer Wrestling Show. Here are some highlights.

The All Mighty One revealed that he would like to have a bare-knuckle fight, but he also wants to stop fighting and wrestling before the fans will see him unable to be competitive: “I always told myself this, because I still have aspirations to throw some blows in the cage or doing a bare-knuckle fight, I still have aspirations for that before completely turning in my gloves and wrestling shoes. I always told my wrestling partners and training partners and coaches this; don’t let me be out there being an old man in this stuff. You see those fighters that are past their prime and just want one more fight and you see them out there and they are rickety and trying to throw punches and get knocked out. It’s sad. The guys who are in the ring and they can’t even move. It’s sad. You remember that person from when they can do everything and then it’s Superman with Kryptonite and trying to fight back. I don’t want to be that guy. Once I can’t give you 100% of everything I have, I’m gonna take a back step and I’m going to do something else. I’m going to do some coaching or help some of the younger guys. I’m not going to be one of those guys who are rickety trying to hang on to my youth. I’m going to be sitting on the beach, doing yoga, just enjoying life and spending time with my kids.”

Despite being almost 45 years old, Lashley still feels in great condition: “I’ll know when it’s time to say when, but I’m far from there. I’m looking at the years and looking at what I believe I can do and I’m like, ‘I don’t believe I should be wrestling when I’m 50 years old,’ but I feel so good now that I don’t know. If I’m feeling as good as I feel now, two years from now, there is no reason why I can’t. If my appearance fades or I can’t keep on the weight or run with these kids the way they are coming up, I’ll take note of that. Right now, I’m 100% and I think I can run through anybody on the roster right now.”
