Booker T has claimed that Sasha Banks joining AEW would result in every other woman in the promotion being overshadowed.
Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Banks has left WWE, and many fans expect her to join AEW in the new year.
While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker suggested that Banks joining Tony Khan’s company may not be the best move for her. He said,
“Do I think she would do well in AEW? I think she would overshadow anything that’s going on in AEW from the women’s side more than anything. I mean it’s not anybody over there other than Britt Baker that I think, really, that genuinely matches up with her from a star power perspective, that’s just me. That’s just my personal opinion.”
Some fans suspect that Banks will be Saraya’s mystery partner for the January 11th episode of AEW Dynamite where the former Paige will face AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker.
Sasha Banks will make her debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling at the upcoming Wrestle Kingdom 17 event on January 4.
