Booker T has said that his fellow two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair will draw a crowd for his last match, insisting that fans want to see him wrestle again.
Flair recently confirmed his return to the ring for Jim Crockett Promotions which is being billed as the final match for the Nature Boy.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T said that Flair, now eleven years removed from his most recent match, is capable of getting fans invested:
“From a nostalgic perspective, I think that’s got wings. I think they can fly a little bit. I mean, we got it on Fight TV.”
“It’s not going to be the WWE, AEW, or anything like that, but I’m sure that they can draw a crowd just to see Ric Flair’s final match. Even at this state, I think people are still going to want to go and pay to see Ric Flair style and profile and make that walk one more time.”
Booker compared Flair to boxing icon Muhammad Ali, adding that he would pay to see Ali fight if a return was possible.
