WWE bringing back The Ultimate Warrior is proof that an agreement could be reached with CM Punk, as far as Booker T is concerned.
Since his exit from AEW, rumors have circulated that Punk could return to WWE close to a decade after walking out of the promotion in January 2014.
During a recent edition of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker T argued that WWE’s willingness to bring back the Ultimate Warrior proves that they’ll work with problematic former talent. He said,
“I’m not gonna put it past WWE to hire him back. I do know that just about everyone who left WWE has come back — no matter what problems they’ve had. Even the Ultimate Warrior — I don’t think anyone thought he would come back.”
After leaving the WWF following a brief return in 1996, Warrior returned in 2014 to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame before his sudden passing that same year.
Warrior isn’t the only name that fans were surprised to see return as Bret Hart, Bruno Sammartino, and Jeff Jarrett all made returns to the company.
