The work of John Cena should be taken as the blueprint for an effective babyface, according to WWE/Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer Bully Ray.
After a brief heel run early into his career, Cena would turn face in late 2003 and has remained a babyface with the promotion ever since.
Speaking about the 16-time WWE World Champion on a recent edition of “Busted Open Radio,” Ray said that Cena’s work as a good guy is foolproof. He said,
“The Cena playbook is foolproof. It’s babyface 101. Do anything and everything to put a smile on their faces, put their hand in their pocket, and keep them coming back for more.”
This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown saw Cena be the guest on the Grayson Waller Effect and share a backstage interaction with The Rock.
