Cody Rhodes returned to WWE after leaving AEW at WrestleMania 38 when he beat Seth Rollins before being sidelined with an injury that left him on the shelf for months. He returned at the 2023 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event by winning the 30-man Royal Rumble match.
Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Rhodes at WrestleMania 39.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rhodes is moving a lot of merchandise for the company.
“Rhodes is now hitting the levels of top tier main eventers as far as merchandise sales go,” Meltzer wrote.
