Corey Graves caught a lot of attention with a comment during this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown which fans believed was a nod to the potential return of CM Punk.

During Friday night’s edition of WWE SmackDown, a promotional graphic for Fastlane’s Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match played and Graves said,

“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making the world forget that he existed.”

Many fans have taken this as a nod to Punk’s return as the former WWE & AEW World Champion used a similar line during a Ring of Honor promo.

Taking to Twitter, Graves reminded fans that this line is also from 1995’s ‘The Usual Suspects,’ a film the SmackDown commentator thinks fans should watch.

Fans have spotted other ‘clues’ that Punk is returning, including Seth Rollins describing himself as the ‘Best in the World’ during a recent promo.

Punk said in September that he is free for the next two months, which some have taken as a sign of a WWE return this November at Survivor Series 2023 in Punk’s native Chicago.
