As we previously reported here on eWn, David Finlay had to withdraw from the 2024 New Japan Cup due to an illness and was hospitalized at the time.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Finlay’s absence was due to swelling in his neck that compressed an artery and blocked blood flow to his brain.
This condition caused Finlay to experience dizziness and spotty vision.
However, Finlay recently returned to action and emerged victorious over Nic Nemeth for the NJPW Global Title.
