We learned today that a deadline has now been set for the sexual assault lawsuit case involving Candy Cartwright against WWE Superstar Matt Riddle. Cartwright, whose real name is Samantha Tavel, filed the lawsuit against Riddle seeking $10 million for damages from emotional distress, punitive damages, attorney’s fees and allegations against Riddle. These allegations included Riddle choking her out and forcing Cartwright to perform oral sex on her in May 2018. Supposedly, the incident happened on a bus leaving EVOLVE 104 in Summit, Illinois. After this had occurred, Cartwright stated that Riddle sabotaged her booking dates for WWE, causing those dates to be cancelled out from under her.

According to Pwinsider, the judge has ruled by stating both sides need to reveal their disclosures to the other by no later than May 21st, with this discovery to be completed by November 30th. Riddle has reportedly asked the judge for the lawsuit to be thrown out of court.

Riddle has filed a motion by saying his team has attempted to contact Cartwright’s lawyers through email and telephone in order to file a joint status report, but her side has yet to respond back. Riddle then proposed a discovery plan which had a May 21st initial disclosure date, with the December 31st date being the deadline in order to complete this discovery.
