The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has some numbers for WWE’s Crown Jewel pay-per-view event from Saudi Arabia.

According to the report, it’s the most successful Saudi show that WWE have put on to date. WWE even went so far as to publish an internal memo, hyping the success of the show as the most-watched international PLE ever.

It was the first show outside the United States to get a million streaming views, beating the previous record set by the Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018. Viewership was up by seventy percent on Peacock from last year’s Crown Jewel. This outpaced the increase in Peacock subscribers, which was 61% at the time. Viewership also ended up 42% from Elimination Chamber (another Saudi show), and an increase from Clash at the Castle.

Google searches for the show were around 300,000, the highest number ever for these shows. 200,000 of those searches were for Logan Paul.

Traditional pay-per-view buys for the event were around 6,500. That’s the lowest of any WWE premium live event ever, and down 39.7% from Extreme Rules. This was also down 18.6% from Extreme Rules, which held a buyrate of 8,000. There were a number of factors at play for this most recent show, as the show did not air in its usual time slot. Additionally, this was held on a Saturday, whereas most Saudi shows to this point have been held on Thursday afternoons.
