As noted, Michael Cole replaced Todd Phillips during Tuesday’s episode of Smackdown. During the broadcast, Cole said that Phillips was “on assignment.” Wrestlingnews.com (via Sportskeeda) says that though it was believed Phillips was gone for personal reasons, Phillips actually married his fiance on Saturday and was given time off for his honeymoon. He will be back for the next episode of Smackdown.
