WWE Hall of Famer Edge could debut for AEW at WrestleDream given that his contract will expire the day before AEW’s newest event.
During today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shared that Edge’s contract will expire this weekend, meaning a debut at WrestleDream is a possibility. He said,
“I mean, his contract expires on Saturday, so he could show up on Sunday [for WrestleDream].”
It was speculated that Edge could get involved in Christian Cage’s two-out-of-three falls match with Darby Allin for the AEW TNT Championship.
Edge’s most recent match with WWE came on the August 18, 2023, episode of SmackDown and saw the Rated-R Superstar defeat Sheamus in Edge’s native Toronto.
