Karl Fredericks has signed a deal with WWE and will work with the NXT brand. Fredericks’ contract with New Japan expired in August of 2022. Pwinsider reports that the 32 year-old veteran of the NJPW Dojo reported to the WWE Performance Center this week.

Fredericks broke into the business in 2015 and was originally trained by Reno Scum. He was a regular in NJPW’s Dojo from 2018 to 2022, where he continued to train under Shibata. Fredericks was featured regularly on NJPW Strong until his deal expired and he announced he would not be renewing.

At the time, Fredericks wrote on Twitter: “I want to say thank you to the company for the opportunities and especially thank you to Shibata-San for believing in me and bringing me along his journey with the LA Dojo. Last but not least, thank you to my fans and thank you to the NJPW fans for Your support over these years. I hope You will continue to support me along my path wherever that may lead.”
