AEW brought in former WWE and current Impact Wrestling star W. Morrissey to lose to Wardlow on the May 4th episode of AEW Dynamite. Former WWE Superstar Killer Kross was also pitched for the match.
According to Fightful Select, the two sides couldn’t come to terms for the appearance and decided against it due to Kross having concerns regarding his wife Scarlett not being part of the presentation for his debut. He thought it would mimic that of his WWE debut where she wasn’t his manager on the main roster.
It was said that both sides are said to be on good terms and there’s a possibility they’ll do business in the future.
