The new promotion being organized by actor/former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. could be huge, according to Booker T.
Earlier this week, Prinze announced a new promotion which he plans on launching within the next 18 months.
The 46-year-old actor plans on the promotion being Union-approved, meaning talent will sign up to the Screen Actors Guild and be guaranteed certain rights currently unavailable to wrestlers.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T addressed plans for the new promotion, saying it is “huge”:
“I see someone like Freddie Prinze say he wants to start a wrestling organization. And not just start a wrestling organization, but really take this thing to another level for the wrestler. As far as all of his wrestlers he wants to be SAAG employees, he wants these guys to get benefits. He wants these guys to get insurance, as well as pension, and all of that. That right there is huge.”
