The Tokyo 2020 Gold Medalist had reportedly expressed his desire to win a third NCAA title and participate in the upcoming Paris Olympics, pending necessary clearances.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is uncertain about Steveson’s participation in the World Championships, and even Steveson himself remains unsure. As he currently holds a contract with WWE, a decision must be reached soon.
Steveson recently won the NCAA Championships and Final X over Mason Parris, showcasing his ongoing involvement at the amateur level. The 2023 World Wrestling Championships are scheduled from September 16 to 24 in Belgrade, Serbia.
