Fans at the upcoming STARDOM event on February 4 will be allowed to cheer to their heart’s content in a first for the promotion in close to three years.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, STARDOM has had fans respond to matches by clapping rather than cheering to lower the risk of transmission.
Speaking this week, World of STARDOM Champion Giulia announced that the upcoming STARDOM 12th Anniversary show will feature vocal cheering.
“I was envious of other groups [with cheering shows] to the extent that I felt a little angry,” Giulia told Tokyo Sports. “STARDOM was finally able to take a big step forward.”
The return of cheering comes after NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 allowed cheering with no issues.
STARDOM’s 12th-anniversary event will take place at Osaka Edion Arena on February 4.
