This past summer, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Goldust underwent double knee surgery. The surgery took place in Alabama and Goldust was said to be expected to make a full recovery. Recently, he joined the “WINCLY” podcast to discuss his rehabilitation and status. The 49-year-old said the rehabilitation has been a lengthy one.
He also said he’s set to be evaluated by WWE doctors at the Performance Center soon. Goldust is hopeful that doctors will clear him to return to the ring after that evaluation. Here’s what he had to say:
“Wednesday at the Performance Center is my next evaluation and I believe we’re gonna probably get me cleared that day,” said Goldust. “So I’m hoping. They put stem cells in both knees and my knees feel a lot better. I’m feeling pretty good.”
