Most high-profile WWE Superstars are busy doing the media rounds promoting WrestleMania, and ahead of defending his Intercontinental Championship against Drew McIntyre and Sheamus at The Grandest Stage Of Them All, GUNTHER was interviewed by Ariel Helwani.

Sharing his thoughts on the ‘Triple Threat’ stipulation, GUNTHER made it crystal clear that he is legitimately not a fan of gimmick matches such as these. He said,

“I don’t like Triple Threat Matches. I’ve got to be honest with you. I like traditional stuff more. I like one-one-one, tag matches, six-man tag matches. All that is fine. But everything, that is in my personal opinion, a triple threat, four way or something like that. That is not how I think wrestling should be done.”

Rooted in tradition, GUNTHER does not seem to be far from his on-screen character, as he seems incredibly confident about his future in WWE. When asked about what he will be doing a year from now at WrestleMania 40, he said,

“The main event. [That’s the] prediction.”

The longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of the century, GUNTHER also commented on potentially sharing the ring with Brock Lesnar in a dream match following their incredible moment at the Royal Rumble.

“I’m hoping for that match but to be honest I think it’s better that it’s not happening now. I think that moment we had in the Royal Rumble was at least everything I needed off it right now. Because on the internet, we see things pop up but often they don’t translate in real life. But just the reaction we got for the moment we had there was like a real-life confirmation for me that people want to see this. But I got my stuff to do now, and he does what he does. Let’s see what happens next year.”
