“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan is on the mend after being hospitalized for a medical emergency this past weekend.
Duggan took to Twitter on Wednesday to reveal that he was experiencing a high temperature and severe pain while doing an autograph signing on Friday at the Glens Falls Fire Department. When his wife and the acting fire chief encouraged him to go the hospital, he was diagnosed with a perirectal abscess. The WWE Hall of Famer then underwent emergency surgery on Saturday to drain the abscess.
Duggan thanked the surgeon and staff at the Glens Falls, New York hospital as well as all the fans who wished him well.
Thank you to the @GlensFallsHosp, The Glens Falls Fire Department, The Glens Falls Nation Fund, and all of my fans and friends for their prayers and support!
