Impact Wrestling Knockout World Champion Jordynne Grace has said that Chris Benoit would not be able to cope in today’s industry.
Benoit, a former World Heavyweight Champion, is best known for the double-murder suicide, in which he killed his wife and son before taking his own life in June 2007.
In a tweet, Grace made her views clear on the disgraced wrestler while saying she expected backlash from fans.
“This is gonna be the coldest take I ever tweet on this app. I already know y’all gonna be mad. I don’t think Benoit could 100% hang with most of the present day best wrestlers. He would not be able to remember matches. Also may he burn in hell, amen.”
Benoit’s name trended on social media following Grace’s comments on the deceased wrestler.
Grace is in her second reign as Knockouts World Champion, after winning the title at Slammiversary last month.
