After securing a win against Von Wagner on this week’s episode of NXT, Tony D’Angelo, accompanied by his sidekick Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, wasted no time in challenging Dijak to a Jailhouse Street Fight at NXT: Roadblock. Dijak had recently suffered a defeat in his attempt to dethrone NXT North American Champion Wes Lee at NXT Vengeance Day.
WWE NXT: Roadblock has only one other match announced so far, with Roxanne Perez defending her NXT Women’s Championship against former NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura.
Dijak, who had previously performed under the name Dominik Dijakovic before joining WWE’s RETRIBUTION stable on the main roster, returned to NXT in November of last year. He immediately began a feud with Wes Lee, which culminated in his unsuccessful title match at Vengeance Day. Meanwhile, D’Angelo had also challenged Lee for the North American Championship towards the end of last year, but was also unsuccessful in his attempt. He had recently returned from a short hiatus due to injury around the same time as Dijak.
