Jeff Hardy often felt like a ghost during his final run with WWE and is feeling the same way now that he is part of All Elite Wrestling.
Hardy joined AEW last year following his controversial release from WWE in which the promotion falsely believed that he was under the influence during a live event.
On a recent edition of Matt Hardy’s “The Extreme Life” podcast, Jeff spoke about going unnoticed in WWE and feeling the same way in AEW. He said,
“The last time I was in this extreme dimension of your podcast, I said in WWE I felt like I was a ghost just walking around backstage.
“Honestly, I kind of still feel like that at AEW just because not being involved in something cool, and I feel like there is something so special that we have within us to really bring out, and that brings me to things with ego. Honestly, I’m in a place in my life where wearing this Jeff Hardy (shirt), I feel like a goofy goober for wearing my own shirt. ‘Why does this feel so goofy to wear my own shirt?’”
Jeff isn’t the only Hardy member feeling underwhelmed in AEW. Recently, Matt Hardy said he has been frustrated with his role in AEW in recent months.
Jeff’s most recent match took place on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and saw the former World Champion on the losing end of a six-man tag-team match.
