– For the past several days WWE has been promoting AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal for the main event of SmackDown Live. “The Phenomenal One” was said to be defending his title in a Houston Street Fight against “The Modern Day Maharaja.” Apparantly changes were made on Monday and the match is no longer on the books. WWE released a promo of Jinder Mahal calling Styles a disappointment for being “victimized” and “beaten” by Brock Lesnar at the Survivor Series this past Sunday.
Mahal practically confirmed his match with Styles was off by saying “very soon I will become two-time WWE Champion. So when and where the Modern Day Maharaja re-invokes his rematch clause has yet to be seen, but I promise you that there will be gold around this waist very soon.”
– The Miz recently spoke to FOX News about hosting MTV’s The Challenge, which is set to premiere tonight (Tues. November 21, 2017). During the interview, The Miz discussed what it was like to find out he was going to be a WWE Superstar:
“The Real World made me realize that I could do anything I want to more with my life,” Miz said. “I remember going back to my house… that I grew up in. And looking into the [bathroom] mirror and asking myself what did I want to do with my life. I’ll never forget looking at the action figure of The Rock, that my Real World cast members got me. And I remember thinking ‘I’m going to be at WWESuperstar!'”
