Former WWE Champion John Cena wrapped up with WWE at No Mercy by losing to Roman Reigns in a singles match.
However, Cena is expected to be back on WWE TV earlier than originally expected. Dave Meltzer noted in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Cena is expected to be back by Survivor Series, which is set to take place in November. He will not work the Raw PPV event, TLC, or SmackDown’s PPV, Hell in a Cell, next month.
There have been rumors that Cena will be going back to the SmackDown Live brand and challenging Jinder Mahal for the WWE Title once back on TV.
