As we previously reported here on eWn, Bryan Danielson led a “three-person disciplinary committee” that ruled in favor of the termination of CM Punk’s AEW contract.
On a recent edition of his “Kliq This” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash noted that if Danielson was part of the committee and he ruled in favor of terminating Punk, then it was a warranted decision.
Nash said, “If anybody knows Bryan, you probably couldn’t pick a more level-headed guy in the locker room. When it’s Bryan that makes the decision … obviously it was very warranted.”
AEW fired Punk “with cause” this past September. Punk then made his shocking return to WWE at November’s Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 pay-per-view event.
