Sammy Guevara suffered a concussion at the AEW WrestleDream 2023 pay-per-view event while teaming up with Will Ospreay and Konosuke Takeshita to defeat Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi.
It was reported that Guevara received medical clearance for in-ring action as he was given the go-ahead about two weeks ago. However, due to him and Tay Melo awaiting the birth of their baby girl last Tuesday, it was decided to postpone his return until after the baby’s birth.
In a new video Guevara posted on his YouTube channel, he confirmed he’s been cleared to compete. He said,
“It’s been a minute since we’ve been on here. I’m doing good, I’m cleared. If it was gonna happen, it kind of happens at the best time.”
