On multiple occasions in the recent past, WWE has used IMPACT Wrestling footage with “Courtesy of” and “Thanks to” credits included on WWE Network documentary specials and other projects.

This week, IMPACT Wrestling got the favor returned.

On this week’s episode of IMPACT On AXS TV, as we reported here at eWrestlingNews.com over a week ago, the 2020 IMPACT Wrestling Hall Of Fame inductee was announced to be Ken Shamrock in a main event angle that ended up seeing him get blasted with a fireball.

Shamrock, a UFC Hall Of Famer snf the first-ever NWA World Champion from the NWA: Total Nonstop Action days, is also a former WWE Intercontinental Champion, WWE Tag-Team Champion and 1998 King of the Ring tournament winner.

In the video package that aired to announce the 2020 IMPACT Wrestling Hall Of Fame induction of “The World’s Most Dangerous Man,” who returned to the promotion last year in an active wrestling role, footage from Shamrock’s career in WWE was shown.

According to F4WOnline, the video footage was used per the aforementioned arrangement between IMPACT and WWE that has also seen WWE use IMPACT footage on past projects and likely again in the future.

The footage highlighted Shamrock being a former WWE Intercontinental and Tag-Team Champion, and showcasing his King of the Ring 1998 victory, which culminated with the MMA and pro wrestling legend submitting Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the finals.

The 2020 IMPACT Wrestling Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place as part of Bound For Glory pay-per-view weekend, which generally takes place in October.

IMPACT Wrestling launched their Hall Of Fame in 2012 with the induction of “The Icon” Sting, and has traditionally featured one wrestler or wrestlers getting inducted per year — outside of two going in during the 2015 calendar year, and no one going in for 2017 or 2019.

Shamrock will join the following list of legends who are currently featured in the IMPACT Wrestling Hall Of Fame: Sting, Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett, Team 3D, Earl Hebner, Gail Kim and Abyss.
