Lexis King has plenty of goals now that he is part of WWE as an NXT Superstar and one of his aspirations is working with Cody Rhodes.
On a recent edition of the “Insight” podcast, King spoke about his fellow AEW alum and what it’d mean for him to share the ring with the American Nightmare. He said,
“I don’t think about dream matches, I think about dream stories. A dream story for me would definitely be to work with Cody Rhodes. Having spent some time at AEW with him, he is someone I’ve always looked up to. He was a great leadership figure there. He definitely gave me a sense of direction and purpose when I was there.”
Cody left AEW and joined WWE in 2022 while King would quickly sign with NXT after his AEW tenure ended last year.
Both men are second-generation performers, with Cody being the son of Dusty Rhodes while King is the offspring of Brian Pillman.
