CM Punk once pitched for Boy Meets World actress Danielle Fishel to manage Lio Rush during the former Cruiserweight Champion’s AEW run.
On a recent edition of the “MuscleMan Malcolm” podcast, Rush recalled Punk having the idea in AEW as Fishel is a known fan of Rush’s career. He said,
“I remember he came up with an idea where he wanted Danielle Fishel to come into AEW to be my manager because we had that mutual friend in Danielle. So, yeah, that was an idea that came up that he wanted to talk to me about that never really came to fruition. But yeah, that’s my CM Punk story.”
Fishel is best known for her role as Topanga Lawrence on Boy Meets World. She would reprise the role for Girl Meets World which aired from 2014 to 2017.
