Despite rumors that Lucha Underground would be holding several events during WrestleMania 32 weekend, that no longer appears to be the case as the talent hasn’t been told anything and nobody seems to be talking about it.
In other Lucha Underground news, the promotion made its debut on TLN in Canada over the weekend. Many people were surprised that the show that aired was the season one debut episode. According to sources, Lucha Underground is not being sold as a traditional wrestling show, but instead similar to how a TV series is sold into syndication. Since Lucha Underground is considered a self-contained show, it is being sold and syndicated into international markets by MGM, who doesn’t want the 39-season one episodes to go to waste. By the time the third season in completed, MGM will have 90-hours of content to sell.
