Prior to Monday night’s WWE RAW TV tapings, WWE officials held a major backstage meeting with the entire RAW crew. The meeting was done to address the travel issues from the Saudi Arabia trip and took place around 3PM EST. Vince McMahon was present and spoke to the entire roster about the situation.
During the meeting, McMahon and other WWE officials continued to blame the talent’s speculation on the case of their travel delay from Saudi Arabia for causing much of the talk online and speculation among mainstream media outlets. The talents were once again told that everything involving the delay was due to “mechanical issues” with the airplane. One source noted that Seth Rollins cut what was described as a “rah-rah” speech and told the roster to keep that kind of thing off social media in the future.
For what it’s worth, Vince McMahon left Saudi Arabia well before there was any indication of a problem with the main roster’s flight. Vince departed the airport at 12:40 AM local time which was two hours before the talent was set to board their plane.
