Matthew Rehwoldt, better known as Aiden English in WWE and Matt Morris in Impact Wrestling, announced that 2022 will be his last year as an active in ring competitor during a Twitch stream yesterday. Not much more is known about why and what is his future.
The “Drama King” also specified that before then, he is available for several bookings and he would like to make the most out of his last year in the ring.
His peak was in WWE, where he is a former NXT Tag Team Champion with Simon Gotch (Simon Grimm) as “The Vaudevillains”, and he later formed an alliance with Rusev in which his singing antics contributed in “Rusev Day” becoming one of the most popular acts of the company. After WWE, he worked for Impact Wrestling and NJPW’s American show STRONG.
2022 is likely my last year as an in ring competitor.
Talking about it now live on Twitch.
