As we reported earlier today here on eWn, WWE Superstar Bayley has suffered a torn ACL and will be out of action for around nine months.
According to a report from Fightful, Bayley was training at the Performance Center with another WWE star and her knee “popped.” Due to the injury, some plans may be changed for some incoming talent.
According to people who were there when the injury took place, it was to have been a “freak accident” that occurred when she was chain wrestling. It should be noted that this took place after WWE recently issued a mandatory order that their talent return to the Performance Center to work out prior to going back on the road. Many talents were said to have been upset about this as it meant they’d be missing time away from home and could also risk injury, which is exactly what happened to Bayley.
Several WWE SmackDown talents have also been frustrated with WWE’s lack of talent depth right now. Due to this, the company is now scrambling to find a replacement for Bianca Belair at Money in the Bank. One source said WWE “did it to themselves” and noted that Bayley has been carrying the company though the pandemic and is always easy to work with despite doing much more than what was originally asked of her.
