MVP and Omos attended the Manchester United vs. Arsenal soccer game last weekend.
The official website of Manchester United posted a story about the two WWE Superstars being at the event and their love for the sport of soccer.
“I have always been a [Manchester United] fan,” Omos said. “Ever since I was a child, because of David Beckham. … ‘Bend It Like Beckham.’ I’m a huge fan and, for me, this is a childhood dream come true.”
MVP added, “I think the American fans who are newly embracing the game are [going to] have a wonderful time and hopefully, they will be infected by that and it will start to become more of a staple. Speaking on behalf of the American fans, I hope that they make the boys at Arsenal and my boys at [Manchester] United feel right at home.”
He continued, “We would love excellence, top of the Premier League table. With the departure of [David] De Gea and my new man [Andre Onana] in goal, I hope he steps up and fills those shoes. Get the boys on the pitch and let them gel.”
Xavier Woods is a huge fan of the Rocky franchise, and believes Apollo Creed is the greatest character of all time.
Speaking on the “Celebrity Jobber” podcast, Woods expressed his love for the legendary character. He said,
“Apollo Creed is the greatest character of anything ever made. We were talking about the Rocky movies a few months ago, just in the locker room, and some of the talent on the roster is younger and they haven’t seen the Rocky movies, which blows my mind. We’re explaining to them that there have been nights where I’ll start watching Rocky 1 and then I realize I’m watching the credits for Rocky IV and now I’m getting up to go workout. You can’t not feel that when you watch Rocky movies. You’re inspired to get up and do something.”
