Coming hot off the heels of the sold-out War of the Worlds 2017 Tour in North America, ROH is thrilled to announce, in conjunction with NJPW, CMLL and Revolution Pro Wrestling, the first-ever War of the Worlds UK Tour from August 18th, 2017 – August 20th, 2017! With stronger-than-ever partnerships, stars from the top professional wrestling organizations in the world will do battle over the course of three nights!
The tour comes in overwhelming response to not only the resoundingly successful ROH Reach for the Sky UK Tour, but also to the rapid sellouts of Ring of Honor, New Japan, CMLL, and Rev Pro events around the globe. The match possibilities are endless, dream teams could be formed, and various championships WILL be contested!
The Liverpool stop of the War of the Worlds UK Tour will be available LIVE on ROHWrestling.com and the Fite.TV app! The event goes live in the US and Canada at 1:00 PM EST and the card will feature championship bouts and first-time international battles!
KENNY KING vs. ADAM PAGE
At the last International Television Taping in Concord, NC, Kenny King challenged KUSHIDA for the ROH World Television Championship. In a back and forth bout, both men seemed like either could leave the Tar Heel State with gold around their waist.
Until Bullet Club interjected their own plan.
“The Villain” Marty Scurll and Adam Page came ringside to interrupt what was looking like an instant classic. The issues between Scurll and the man that defeated him for the World TV Title KUSHIDA are well documented, but what was temporarily unclear was why Bullet Club’s Problem Solver Adam Page interrupted the match.
That is, unless you think back to a few weeks ago on Ring of Honor Television when Bullet Club stated they would not be satisfied until they held all of the ROH gold. So, why not take advantage of an opportunity to sideline both the World Television Champion and the number one contender ahead a slate of defenses in the UK?
An impromptu tag team match led to King and KUSHIDA getting a measure of revenge, beating Bullet Club. But King wants revenge against a man he holds personally responsible for the match in Concord being thrown out and he will get that opportunity in Liverpool! It is Kenny King versus Adam Page on Digital Pay Per View!
