The public fallout of the working relationship between Billy Corgan and Nick Aldis has shown the true nature of the NWA President, according to Aldis.
Aldis played a pivotal role in the NWA following Corgan’s acquisition of the promotion in 2017, including spending over 1,000 days as NWA Worlds Champion.
After Aldis announced his intent to leave the NWA, he was suspended by Corgan, who according to Aldis disrespected his wife Mickie James, and others in the company.
Appearing on “Insight with Chris Van Vliet,” Aldis spoke about the demise of his working relationship with Corgan. He said,
“I’m sort of done talking about Billy [Corgan] and that whole thing. … I would just say that he’s shown everybody who he is, and that’s unfortunate. I’m certainly not going to spend any more time saying anything sort of denigrating about him or the company or anything like that. People can make up their own minds, and it looks like a lot of them have.”
Following Aldis’ departure, Corgan put the NWA Worlds Championship on Tyrus who lost the gold to EC3 at the NWA 75th Anniversary event last month.
Since leaving the NWA, Aldis made a brief return to Impact Wrestling and is in the process of shadowing WWE producers at events.
