The sixth annual Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup Tag Team Tournament will take place at NWA Crockett Cup 2023 on June 3 and 4.
Over the years, the tournament has been won by tag teams such as The Road Warriors (Animal and Hawk), the Super Powers (Dusty Rhodes and Nikita Koloff), Sting and Lex Luger, The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) and more.
During the NWA Crockett Cup Tag Team Tournament Livestream podcast, several teams were announced for the Crockett Cup, listed as follows:
- Magnum Muscle (Mims and Dak Draper)
- AAA’s Myzteziz Jr. & Octagon Jr.
- AAA’s Toxin & Arez
- Trevor Murdoch & Mike Knox
- The Mortons (Ricky & Kerry Morton)
- Trevor Murdoch & Chris Adonis
- NWA United States Tag Team Champions Country Gentlemen (AJ Cazana and Anthony Andrews)
- NWA World Tag Team Champions La Rebelión (Bestia 666 and Mecha Wolf 450)
- The Spectaculars (Rush Freeman and Brady Pierce)
- Judais and Max the Impaler
- NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tyrus & Chris Adonis
- S.V.G.S. (Jax Dane & Blake Troop) were not announced during the show, but they qualified for the tournament.
As of now, the specific matchups for the tournament have yet to be revealed.
Also at the show, EC3, the current NWA National Heavyweight Champion, and his next challenger, Thom Latimer, will defend the title against “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason.
