There are questions regarding the future of Andrade El Idolo in AEW as the contract of the 34-year-old wrestler is set to expire soon.
On a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer addressed Andrade’s future with AEW and shared that his contract is set to expire soon. He said,
“His deal is coming up relatively soon, unless it’s extended or something because of time off for injuries or whatever, but he thinks that his deal’s up pretty soon.Â
“He’s not made a decision on what he’s doing next, he’s not signed a new deal. But if he does go to WWE, he knows he can’t go back to Arena Mexico.”
Andrade may be tempted to return to WWE so he can spend more time with his wife Charlotte Flair and to once again be under the creative direction of Triple H.
Andrade is currently engaged in a storyline with CJ Perry & Miro. The former WWE NXT Champion is also competing in the ongoing AEW Continental Classic.
