We reported last week here on eWn that MLW recently released three talents, including Bu Ku Dao, Beastman, and Leo Brien. The reason for the releases is due to an edict by Court Bauer to shorten the MLW events. During the Fightland TV tapings earlier this month, Bauer vowed to shorten the shows instead of having longer ones because the longer the show is, the more the crowd is likely to get burned out.
According to a report from Pwinsider, Jordan Oliver was released from MLW on Wednesday. It appears that the storyline explanation for his exit is that he was attacked in the parking lot this past week. Oliver has been with MLW since March of 2019.
Oliver’s departure is expected to be the final release for the time being.
In other MLW news, there have been some rumors that the company is interested in bringing in former ROH Champion RUSH. In an update on this, there has been no communication between the two sides.
