As seen on this week’s edition of NXT, Finn Balor made his return to WWE after a brief hiatus from the company. ”Finn Balor is NXT!”, is what Balor said upon his return to the yellow brand.
Currently, it’s unknown if Finn Balor was offered a higher guarantee to move to NXT. Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer noted he will end up making less money if his contract remains the same.
Revenue Finn Balor Will Lose:
- WWE House Shows (NXT makes salary, WWE makes percentage of the gate)
- Large Paydays (such as Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, Summerslam, and the WWE European tours)
- Merchandise (receives percentage but would likely see a decrease in sales)
However, NXT talent’s transportation and lodging are covered, whereas RAW/Smackdown talents are not. In addition, NXTs schedule is a lot more relaxed then RAW/Smackdown.
